Term 1 2019 Workshops Open for Registration

Published 17 December 2018

The Primary Connections professional learning team have wrapped up our workshops of 2018, by providing three hands-on, inquiry-based science workshops in Term 4 for 92 teachers in New South Wales, Western Australia and Victoria.

To support communities of practice in professional learning, we offered a 50% discount for additional participants of each school, which was taken up by 32 teachers representing 24 schools. This provided an opportunity for teachers to attend in pairs and groups, encouraging collaboration and a whole-school approach to science teaching. Participants were inspired by the enthusiasm of our knowledgeable state-based presenters: Nicola Dziadkiewicz and Jennifer Lawrence (NSW), Linda Townend and Helen Addison (WA), and Angela Gigliotti and Sue Mason (VIC). As one participant articulated,

“This is the 2nd PC workshop I have attended this year and I can't recommend them highly enough. Today the energy and enthusiasm, let alone the sheer amount of knowledge from our presenters made the day zip past and sent me home bursting with enthusiasm and ideas. Thank you for an excellent session.”

The Primary Connections team are delighted to have delivered these high-quality professional learning workshops to support hands-on science teaching and learning in Australian government, independent and catholic schools.

Primary Connections is excited to announce that registrations are now open for Term 1 workshops in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. We are offering a free PC unit for every participant and 50% off for subsequent registrations for the same school. Please click here for more information.
