Indigenous Perspectives Framework - Curriculum

Curriculum

In the Australian Curriculum the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures priority (opens in a new window) states that it provides opportunities for all students to deepen their knowledge of Australia by engaging with the world’s oldest continuous living cultures.

Links to the Cross-curriculum priority – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures in the Primary Connections curriculum resources assist teachers to generate interest, discussion and exploration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures through the context of science.

Information, ideas and guidelines are provided through the following national, state and territory organisations and departments:

Reconciliation Australia is an independent not-for-profit organisation promoting reconciliation through respectful and trusting relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Processes and resources to support reconciliation are provided through their Share our Pride website.
