Professional Learning

The Professional Learning program is central to Primary Connections and is designed to build teacher confidence and competence for teaching science and literacy.

Our workshops offer teachers the tools to understand the Primary Connections 5Es teaching and learning approach, its philosophy, and goals. Teachers develop their science pedagogical knowledge and explore how to effectively use, adapt, and extend the curriculum units to suit their students’ needs.

We are in the process of securing workshop dates and venues for next term. Please check here regularly to view our workshop calendar, or subscribe to our mailing list.

Focus on STEM: Teaching Design Technology through Science Inquiry

Designed to build efficacy with teaching science inquiry with a STEM perspective, this workshop visits the key principles underpinning the Primary Connections teaching and learning approach. Participants engage in first-hand experiences that exemplify best practice in supporting students to develop science understanding and skills that build capability in STEM, and walk away with a re-imagined perspective and a toolkit of practical strategies to implement directly into classroom practice.
